Next Steps

1. Admission to UIC Heading link

The first step in the GPPA process is receiving your admission letter to your undergraduate program!

  • For applicants who applied for Early Action, you should receive this by no later than December 15.

2. Admission to the Honors College Heading link

If your program requires membership in the Honors College, your application will be reviewed for admission to the Honors College.

The Honors College releases decisions once a month, on or about the 15th of the month.

For more information about the UIC Honors College, visit our webpage.

3. GPPA Program Review Heading link

After you have been admitted to your undergraduate program, your application is forwarded directly to the program to which you applied for review.

For most programs:

  • The selection committee will review your application and make recommendations based solely on your application.
  • Decisions will be released no later than March 1, 2024.

For the GPPA Medical Scholars Program

  • The application review is the first step. Every completed application is reviewed.
  • Based on the strength of your application, a limited number of applicants will be selected to attend an interview with the College of Medicine.
  • Interviews will be conducted in January.
  • Students who are not selected for an interview will be notified by February 1.
  • The CASPer test is NOT REQUIRED for admission to the GPPA Medical Scholars Program. If you are selected for the GPPA Medical Scholars Program, you may be asked to take the CASPer prior to matriculation at UIC.
  • Applicants who are selected for the GPPA Medical Scholars Program will be notified on March 1, 2024.
